Emberfall Saga
★★★★★ 4.7
Emberfall Saga is the kind of mobile RPG I'd been waiting for — a proper story with characters who remember things, and a combat system that rewards planning instead of spamming the same skill. You build a party of four, each with their own skill tree, and battles turn into little puzzles once you hit the harder chapters.
The progression is generous but not mindless. Leveling up matters, but so does gear crafting and reading how enemy formations behave. I spent way too long optimizing my mage's cooldowns, and I regret nothing.
The story starts quiet and picks up around chapter three. Stick with it. The writing has real warmth, and a couple of late twists actually landed for me.
What we liked
- Deep turn-based combat
- Characters with real personality
- Fair progression without grind walls
